I'm a story writer okay? I started when I was about 9, I wrote better stories! I'm sorry but I did. The people who published this boook obviously weren't thinking. I know, I know. All you ppl are sayings its a copy, okay I get that. I haven't read Two Moons (or whatever its called, lol) but I'm looking to it . Howeer I have read Are you there GOd its me Magaret? By Judy Blume. Its not that much of a copy but it has the same idea going . Same sort of vibe which can kinda copy it all ya kno? This author tried way to hard, (I DONT CARE IF SHE IS 10 OKAY?!!) and i'm sure no one has that many things happen in there fricking summer. An 11 year old? Right. Most likely an 11 year old girl wouldn't talk like that, wouldn't say those things. Honestly! Geez!! The character ahs a 14 year old vibe when shes 11? Y'all are just like "oo this book was good. I mean common it was written by a 10 year old" screw that. okay? This book is good when u have nothing else to read but its a waste of time and shouldn't of been publisheD! Maybe the mother of the cihld knew the company or something lol. Who knows waht the hell happened. But this book (stunk) .lol. Anyways a waste of my time and urs. Check out the other one by Judy Blume.

The Diary of Chickabiddy Baby Emma Kallok 9781883672904 Books Reviews

This is a book which I would consider on my top 5 list of favorite books. I am amazed a 10-year old wrote it. Then again, only a child could have a child's point of view. It is truly amazing. I have read it about 15 times. I love it.
I am 14 years old and I happened to run across this book in the library one day, and I read it in almost a day, I just couldn't put it down. For all of you young "critics" out there that reviewed this book and thought it was terrible, .... I would really like to see how brilliant you truly are. I think Emmma Kallok's book was one of the cutest books I have ever read. I think she should continue to write about Chickabiddy baby. Oh yeah... ...
The Diary of a Chickabiddy Baby by Emma Kallok was a awesome book! It was about a girl named Prudence who kept a diary. The diary was quite realistic and I enjoyed this book very much.
I'm 11 and I'm insulted that some one thinks we're this un-sufisticaded! Also, I found that this story, is just made out of other books. There are parts from Walk two moons, Absolutely normal chaos, Are you there god? its me margarett, The quilt trilogy, and more! And, since I've started, let me tell you! If there is an 11 year old in the world, who wrote such a stupid news paper, or had such an eventfull summer (GIVE ME A BRAKE! I'M 11 AND MORE THEN A HALF, AND I DONT KNOW ONE PERSON WITH A SUMMER LIKE THAT!)Then I'm 1,000 years old!!!! If you want a good fiction story for a girl ages 10 to 13, get the Sharon Creech books, or the Linda Ellerbee books in the "Get Real" storys. Or for an older girl, Star girl! Dont buy this book!
A friend purchased this book for me a while back, and I knew by the time that I'd read the first sentence that I was not in for an entertaining time. The entire book was completely insulting to my intelligence; it was so saturated with plagiarism that it flabbergasted me as to how such a book could have been published in the first place. However, I do readily congratulate the young author for having the courage to write this book and have it published without getting sued by certain better-established authors. I hope the author will continue to write in the future, as she certainly demonstrates considerable promise, as long as her future works don't borrow pages word-for-word from other books.
In my spare time, ever since I was in preschool, I wrote stories. I love writing stories, and I love reading them. So, don't get any ideas that for some strange reason I don't advocate the publishing of kid's works. When I read this book, I took into account that it was written by a ten year old, so I was prepared to be forgiving on matters such as little plot holes or small snags in the storyline. I will NOT, however, overlook blatant plagiarism, which is what most of this book is. People promoting this book laud it as "Every bit as good as Sharon Creech's "Walk Two Moons" Well, yes, because it IS Walk Two Moons, essentially. Bits and pieces--some direct quotes even--of the award-winning "Walk" are piecemealed together in a mixed-up fashion to pose as the authors own work. Every person I've ever met who has read both novels says the same. How this act of bold plagiarism passed the editor's desk, I don't know. Names, situations, characters...it all screams CREECH! in the loudest of literary voices.
When I read the first page of this book, I could tell that it was simular to my favorite novel Walk Two Moons. From the other reviews I'm gonna bet that the whole book is like that.
Just because the little girl was 10 doesn't mean that she could publish a book. There are tons of better child authors out there. Thanks for ruining their reputations as good, respected authors. If you were going to pull a mirror image of WTM then you should have copied the whole book. Maybe then the sales would have been better.
